The Virginian is a 1962-1971 American Western series starring James Drury as the foreman of the Shiloh Ranch in Wyoming. The show was based on a novel by Owen Wister and ran for nine seasons, making it one of the longest-running Western series on TV.
The Virginian helps three women he meets in the southwest make their way to the Yaqui Indians where they want to be missionaries after the Yaqui killed their husbands. Along the way, he and the youngest woman become romantically involved.
