Robert Marshall Watts (1923–1988) was an American artist best known for his work as a member of the international group of artists Fluxus. Born in Burlington, Iowa June 14, 1923, he became Professor of Art at Douglass College, Rutgers University, New Jersey in 1953, a post he kept until 1984.

Watts has been called “cryptic”, a maverick artist and “the invisible man of Fluxus and Pop.” His original training was in mechanical engineering, and he subsequently attended the Art Students League and Columbia University in New York City, receiving his Masters Degree in Art History in 1951.
Schooled at Pratt Institute and ArtCenter, Robert has been an illustrator and fine artist for many years. With over 30 years of experience, Robert Watts has worked for varied clients including NASA, American Airlines, General Dynamics, and the U.S. Navy. Mr. Watts is currently one of the premier architectural illustrators in San Diego and a signature member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.
