South of Skjolden is Sogndal with apporx, 1 hour drive and from the Jostedal Valley and the Nigardsbreen Glacier it takes approx. 1 hour drive. Aug 10, 2018 · Skjolden is a little tourist village at the end of Sognefjord that looks like a postacrd. The day we were there, the weather was perfect - not a large town, only one store, a couple of resturants, and the tourist center. The tourist center, on the edge of the water, has 5 kayacks, rental is $40 for 3 hours.
