Haus des Meeres is an Aqua Terra Zoo. More than 10,000 live animals on an area of approx. 5,000 m², spread over 11 floors. It's residents include sharks, rays, turtles, freshwater fish, crocodiles, snakes, monkeys, birds and insects from around the world. The following highlights await you here:
Tickets:Admission for adults is €19.90. Children aged 6-15 pay €8.90, and children aged 3-5 pay €5.90.Annual Pass:Annual passes are available for both adults (€39) and children (€19). They are valid from Monday to Friday. Mar 19, 2024 · The Haus des Meeres does a marvellous job with the space available, and nowhere feels as cramped as you might imagine. Recent extensions have even added airy glass-walled areas that also offer views of Vienna. Some of the floors do have only a very few displays, though, with the rest of the space given over to offices, storage rooms and similar.
The guided tours themselves are free of charge (zoo entrance fees apply, for every 10 paying schoolchildren the entrance fee for one accompanying person is free). Number: Groups larger than 25 will be split into two tours.
