Description. The Mohammad Al-Amin mosque is the biggest mosque in Lebanon. In the initial steps of building this mosque, Hariri endured many obstacles such as rights of property and funding the actual building. In preparation for the mosque, panels were placed which signified that a mosque was going to be built.
Architecturally speaking, Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque is the imitation of Hagia Sophia and the Ottoman imperial mosques of Istanbul. It lacks any kind of originality,is totally out of place (Hagia Sophia and the Istanbul mosques were built over hills) and out of time.
