Tostig Godwinson (c. 1029 – 25 September 1066) was an Anglo-Saxon Earl of Northumbria and brother of King Harold Godwinson. After being exiled by his brother, Tostig supported the Norwegian king Harald Hardrada's invasion of England, and was killed alongside Hardrada at the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.

C. 1026 - 1066. Tostig Godwinson, younger brother of King Harold II was the third son of the powerful Earl Godwine of Wessex and his Danish wife Gytha, the daughter of Thorkell Sprakaleg. In 1051, Tostig married Judith, the daughter of Count Baldwin IV of Flanders and aunt of Matilda of Flanders, who married William, Duke of Normandy.

Tostig Godwinson was a man who lived in England in the 1000s c.e. He was the younger brother of King Harold II. He was the third son of Earl Godwine of Wessex and his Danish wife Gytha, who was the daughter of Thorkell Sprakaleg.
Arriving off the English coast in September Hardrada was joined by further forces recruited in Flanders and Scotland by Tostig Godwinson. Tostig was at odds with his elder brother Harold (who had been elected king by the Witenagemot on the death of Edward).
