May 2, 2022 · Reading city centre is the most dangerous place in Berkshire, according to crime figures. During the year ending January 2022, Reading Central suffered more crime than anywhere else in our area.
Moved to Reading one year ago. Reading definitely feels less rough than SE London or the parts of NY I lived in. Oxford is obviously more affluent and feels a bit cleaner/safer, but housing prices are roughly 40% higher. All in all, I really like Reading. It has more going on than Oxford (food-wise, activities-wise).
