Descripcion foto: Špička Gate was a massive tower-like structure built from 1348 to 1350, and the most prominent part of the medieval Vyšehrad fortifications, preventing access to the promontory from the southeast. It was demolished in the 1880s to make place for a wider road.

Vysehrad castle is not exactly a Baroque fortress.....but to me it is a site which should not be missed by any visitor to Prague.. It is easily accessible by metro (line C stop Vysehrad) and about 10 minutes walk.
