Jan 12, 2024 · It was later moved to various locations, until it was finally placed on top of a column in Piazza di Spagna in 1858. The most famous feature of the square is the Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti, or the Spanish Steps, a monumental staircase that connects the square with the church of Trinità dei Monti on top of the Pincian Hill.
Antonio Salieri (18 August 1750 – 7 May 1825) was an Italian composer and teacher of the classical period. He was born in Legnago , south of Verona , in the Republic of Venice , and spent his adult life and career as a subject of the Habsburg monarchy .

- The Spanish Steps. Built between 1723 and 1725 by order of Pope Benedict XIII, this monumental baroque staircase links the French church at the top of the stairs to the Embassy of Spain to the Holy See at the bottom.
