The busiest train station in Germany and one of the busiest in Europe, Frankfurt (Main) Hbf is huge with a total of 120 tracks. This feels like the quintessential European rail station with a huge vestibule and covered platform area. The architecture has neo-Renaissance and neoclassical features.

Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof (usually abbreviated to Hbf = main station in German) is a impressive terminus at the centre of the busy city of Frankfurt, a beautiful station dating from 1888, although the halls either side of the main hall were added in 1924.
The station is located in the Frankfurt financial district on the New Mainzer Straße, the Eurotower of the European Central Bank has a direct access, but the management of the ECB has let close. On the Willy Brandt Square itself stands the Frankfurt Opera, which shares a building with the Schauspielhaus.

To go to the Campus Westend from the central station, you take the S‑Bahn lines 1-9 to “Hauptwache”, where you take the underground lines U1, 2, 3 or 8 directions Ginnheim, Gonzenheim, Oberursel/ Hohemark or Riedberg to “Holzhausenstrasse”. It's a five-minute-walk from there.
