Jan 8, 2024 · Metro today celebrated the groundbreaking of a new high-rise residential building being constructed by LCOR at the North Bethesda Metro Station. The project is the final phase of a mixed-use joint development helping spur the transformation of the surrounding North Bethesda Pike District.
Station Notes. A major business district in Montgomery County, this station is walking distance to Bethesda Row shopping and the Bethesda Trolley Trail for cycling to and from Georgetown. MDOT MTA Purple Line construction is occurring outside this station.

On Monday morning, a new brown sign on the outside of the Metro station at 5500 Marinelli Road read “North Bethesda Station” in white letters.
Bethesda is served by WMATA trains via its Red Line; travel time from central Washington, D.C. is just over 20 minutes. 1 Bethesda Station is located at the intersection of Wisconsin Ave and Old Georgetown Road.
