Netflix has released the first full trailer for Leo, its upcoming animated musical comedy about a 74-year-old lizard and his terrarium-mate turtle, voiced by Adam Sandler and Bill Burr.
The duo deliver some big laughs in the trailer, which opens in an elementary school in Florida, where Sandler's ageing lizard Leonardo and Burr's jaded turtle Squirtle reside as class pets. They've watched generations of students pass through the doors, but now Leo wants to break out and experience life on the outside.

The cast also includes Jason Alexander as the voice of Jayda's dad, Rob Schneider as the school principal, Cecily Strong as Mrs. Malkin, and Jo Koy as Coach Komura. Stephanie Hsu, Heidi Gardner, and Nicholas Turturro voice other parents, while Nick Swardson takes on Bunny, and Robert Smigel is Miniature Horse.
Directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel, and David Wachtenheim, with Sandler's company Happy Madison producing, Leo featured on Netflix's 2023 Film Schedule at the start of the year. With much of the slate now out, it's finally time for the colourful coming-of-age story to debut on the streamer on Nov. 21.
