Abraham Stoker (8 November 1847 – 20 April 1912) was an Irish author who is best known for writing the 1897 Gothic horror novel Dracula. During his lifetime, he was better known as the personal assistant of actor Sir Henry Irving and business manager of the West End 's Lyceum Theatre, which Irving owned.

In the winter of 1876, Stoker attended a performance of Hamlet at the Theatre Royal in Dublin, giving a good review to the lead actor, Henry Irving. He met Irving shortly afterwards.
Bram Stoker also accompanied Irving in February 1905 when Irving unveiled a memorial plaque to 18th century actor James Quin at 4 Pierrepont Street, Bath, followed by a luncheon at The Guildhall. Sir Henry Irving died in 1905.
