    The Lafayette Square is lovely. There are a lot of people in this square. Many sit on the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Flowers are at the front. The square has a lot of trees and there is a lot of shade. However, the highlight in this square is the Pillar of Soldiers and Sailors Monument. This monument is in memory of those who died in wars, just like the union over the issue of slavery.
