The episode starts at Central Park where a model truck race is taking place. Stuart is in the lead with George's model dump truck while Will's model firetruck is gaining. Meanwhile, the parents watch as Snowbell is going through Martha's carriage looking for something until Martha grabs his tail. Frederick takes a photo of the race as Stuart waves hello to his parents. Around the final turn, Eleanor hears Stuart screaming. Stuart skids on a puddle as Will's truck and the other vehicles take the lead. George notices his brother missing and rushes out to the track along with the rest of the family just as Will wins the race. The Littles find Stuart coming out the dump truck, dizzy but okay. George sees the puddle by the truck and thinks it has to do with Will winning the race. Will arrives and asks what happened to Stuart, and George blames Will for making the puddle with his firetruck, much to Will, Eleanor and Stuart's shock. Frederick apologizes to Will and promises that he and Eleanor will talk to George and get to the bottom of it.

As the Littles arrive home, Snowbell rushes inside to play with his favorite toy, his tinkle-ball. In the backyard, Stuart apologizes to George for losing the race, but George still blames Will for what happened. The parents arrive and tell George that they don't understand why he'd think his friend's to blame for Stuart's accident. George says that's because they didn't see everything from his perspective.

A flashback shows earlier that day from George's point of view. To George, Will seemed jealous of his dump truck and that Stuart was the only driver in the race and squirts George with water. As George went to sign up for the race, he and Will noticed that the first prize was a gift certificate to Ed's House of Hobbies and Will said he would do anything for such a prize. As the race is about to start, Will rudely pushed past George as he put firetruck at the starting line. As the race began, Frederick was taking lots of photos of the race. As soon as Stuart waved hello to the parents, he skidded onto the puddle just as Will's truck took the lead. As the family rushed to see if Stuart was alright, George noticed Will's firetruck crossing the finish line.

Back in the present, Stuart doesn't believe it happened exactly that way.

A flashback is shown of everything in Stuart's point of view. To Stuart, Will seemed happy that the model dump truck turned out so well. As the race was about to start, everyone seemed so happy. Mr. Doddard, the park's gardener, volunteered to take a photo of the whole Little family, which Eleanor accepted. When the race began, Stuart took an early lead. When Stuart waved hello to his parents, he didn't see the puddle and was skidding out of control. Back at the present, Stuart blames himself for not paying attention to the road. George says it still doesn't explain where the puddle came from and still blames Will for what happened as he heads inside.

As the parents go inside to take care of Martha, Stuart is still sulking inside, wondering how he can explain to George that Will is not to blame. Snowbell comes outside and comments that he saw what happened at the park earlier. Realizing that Snowbell saw the whole accident, Stuart asks him to tell him what exactly happened. Snowbell agrees only if Stuart opens a can of salmon for him.
