Wolin (Polish:; German: Wollin) is a Polish island in the Baltic Sea, just off the Polish coast. Administratively, the island belongs to the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Wolin is separated from the island of Usedom (Uznam) by the Strait of Świna, and from mainland Pomerania by the Strait of Dziwna.

One thousand years ago, Wolin was an old Slavonic castle of Wineta and one of Europe’s largest cities at that time! Wolin was recognized in Scandinavian mythology as a dreamland of the Vikings – Jomsborg. Therefore the town is associated with the Vikings, mainly due to the annual Slavs and Vikings Festival.
Wolin National Park. Best accessed from the resort of Międzyzdroje, Wolin National Park occupies the central section of Wolin Island. With a total area of about 50 sq km, it’s one of the smaller Polish parks, yet it’s picturesque enough to warrant a day or two’s walking.
