How to Request and Get Access to Government Records. The Open Public Records Act provides procedures for the public (the "requester') to review or copy government records. This Records Note provides a summary of these procedures and guidance for requesting records.
Requestors are urged to check the website when questions arise and should also feel free to submit questions to the GRC via our toll-free information line (1-866-850-0511), e-mail (Government.Records@dca.nj.gov), or regular mail (101 South Broad Street, P.O. Box 819, Trenton, NJ 08625-0819).

Aug 24, 2012 · Filing a complaint with the GRC is easy an free; its forms are available on its website, and they can be filled out and emailed, faxed or mailed to the GRC for filing. Once a complaint is filed with the GRC, it is assigned a case number and a case manager.
