The Cape Enrage lighthouse is still a functioning lighthouse and for the safety of our guests, we do close the boardwalk leading up to it on days when the fog horn may go off. We do this to prevent our guests from standing too close to the foghorn and experiencing potential hearing damage.

Cape Enrage lighthouse is one of the oldest on New Brunswick’s Fundy coastline. The original light was built about 1840 at a cost of £600 and was probably a fixed, white light which may have been changed later to a green hazard light.

Beautiful lighthouse - drove through Fundy National Park to (1) Buttland Lookout Point, (2) Alma Beach and then (3) Cape Enrage beach and finally up to the lighthouse. The beach is pebbly with a certain beauty and serenity just looking out into the Bay of Fundy.
