TURNER & HOOCH is a well-intentioned but fairly cheesy buddy picture whose appeal hinges on your tolerance for slobbering dogs and extended scenes of loud barking. But it has a certain charm as a genre film from an era that seemed to churn them out like clockwork.

Given the PG rating, the availability on Disney+, the just over 90 minute run time, and the plot line of a neat man living with a slobbering dog, it seemed the perfect fit for some light comedy the kids would enjoy.
Parents need to know that Turner & Hooch is a TV series spin-off of the same-named 1989 movie. While younger kids may be attracted to a show that co-stars a cute dog, there's some edgy content here.
