Each year, thousands of youth across Oregon are homeless and unaccompanied, struggling to survive without a safe, stable place to live. Youth homelessness is a significant problem in urban, suburban, and rural parts of the state, but the issue remains largely below the radar of public concern or legislative action.
The Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program (YEHP) is working to end youth homelessness. Homelessness affects youth across Oregon in urban, suburban and rural areas. We believe all young people should have safe and stable places to stay, the services and supports they need to thrive, and opportunities to reach their full potential.
