The current dates can be found on the State Opera 's website . Schedule with the Current Program. The Vienna State Opera is considered the opera house with the largest repertoire. Typical Austrian operas such as those by Mozart are often performed. But also internationally known works are regularly brought to the stage.
The 2024/2025 opera season begins on September 5th, 2024 with a performance of Bizet’s Carmen and ends with Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades on June 30th, 2025. Six new productions colour the schedule for the season:
