Apr 4, 2024 · Today the owners of Toledo’s Maumee Bay Brewing Company open their first venture in central Ohio, Shawnee Station Taproom & Kitchen. The companion brewery offers a new name, modern space, and upgraded menu, all situated in a new build on Glick Road in Shawnee Hills, right across the O’Shaughnessy Dam from the Columbus Zoo.
Opened in 1995 as Toledo’s first craft brewery, Maumee Bay Brewing Company is among the most renowned beermakers in the state of Ohio. Their best-in-class brewmasters are now our brewmasters, and their wide selection of lagers, ales, IPAs, and more will be available at Shawnee Station Taproom & Kitchen.

Buckeye lager was officially back where it belonged: brewed and produced by a local Toledo company. It remains one of our flagship beers to this day, almost two centuries later. While historic and revered, Buckeye has evolved and changed over the years.
