    Karen Khachanov is a professional tennis player from Russia. The Moscow-born Khachanov currently resides in Dubai, U.A.E.

    The Russian, who was born on May 21, 1996, is 6ft 6in (1.98 m) tall and weighs 87 kgs (192 lbs). He plays a high-powered game to match his stature, with booming groundstrokes off of both wings.

    Khachanov started playing tennis at the age of three when he was in kindergarten. He peaked at No. 16 in the ITF junior rankings and won eight ITF junor titles (singles & doubles), including the 2013 European Junior Championships.

    Khachanov’s idols while growing up were Marat Safin and Juan Martin del Potro. He had said his dream opponent is Safin. Although he never got a chance to play against the former world No 1 on the ATP Tour, the two are friends and Safin captained Khachanov as part of the Russian ATP Cup squad in 2020.
