Biography. Xiaodong Zheng (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Anhui, China, in 1985. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2013, and the Joint Ph.D. degree in electrical power from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2012.
Abstract. Private tutoring has become a remarkable feature around the world, particularly in East Asia. While much of the studies have focused on the effect of private tutoring on student academic performance, its potential spillovers have been largely neglected.
