The lore after Frozen Throne continues in WoW Classic, but they don't expand the Illidan storyline until the first expansion The Burning Crusade, and the Arthas storyline until the second expansion The Wrath of the Lich King.
But lorewise, wow is a continuation of wc3. Back in the day when WoW first came out, it was a direct sequel to Warcraft 3. I had finished playing WC3 and The Frozen Throne before WoW came out, but when I started I was so gobsmacked by how, well, Warcraft it was.
It contains the storylines of Classic WoW. Classic WoW, the direct follow up to Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, is no longer in the game. It was all replaced with the Cataclysm expansion pack. Essentially Classic WoW started 4 years after the events of the Third War ended.
It takes place 5(?) years after WC3. Up to 60, much of what happened in WC3 is glossed over to be honest. Kel'thuzad was the last boss before TBC hit, though it's being retconned...

The events of Warcraft III: Frozen Throne happen before the beginning of the Well of Eternity, except what is happening in Well is that the heroes in that trilogy are going back in time and altering the events of the War of the Ancients.

For many years, Bolvar was silent, until the events of Legion. In response to the Legion's threat, Bolvar reached out to the Ebon Blade, who agreed to once again ally themselves with a Lich King.
