May 9, 2023 · November 10, 2023. Broken Water by Barbara Lane is a powerful true story. A heartbreaking and compelling story about child abuse, foster care, family and loss. This was a hard book to at times, so I do warn keep the tissues handy and say it was an enjoyable read perhaps the wrong word, but it was a well-told story and one I highly recommend.
