Welcome to IGN's walkthrough for Stray Chapter 12 - Control Room. This page features information on the game’s finale, including unlocking the walled city and getting to the end.

As the subway arrives as its final destination, you’ll find yourself in a much better maintained subway stop than the one in Midtown. Dutiful Companions devoid of personality continually sweep the floors alongside advertisements for the world’s safest city.

Take the immaculate stairway up to a pristine landing platform with more helper bots, and follow it up to the higher floor.

Head to the higher level here and back along the corner to find a Control Room door. It’s sealed, and states that only human personnel are allowed to enter. You’ll need to work with B-12 to find a way in.

From facing the sealed door, look behind you to find one of the moving carts you can have B-12 reprogram to follow you, and have it move to a panel to the left of the door. Tell it to stop there.

Be sure to have B-12 interact with the red panel one more time, and he’ll pop out the paneling to the left of the door.

This will expose a bunch of wiring, so get your claws ready and start scratching to wreck it all up (if you’ve been dutifully scratching things in every chapter, this will unlock the Territory achievement!).

Upon entering the Control Room, B-12 will uncover his last major Memory, and it’s an impactful one. Now more than ever it’s important to find a way to open up the city so that everyone inside can be free.

Be sure to look through the windows as you explore the large Control Room to see just how far you’ve come in your little journey - but it’s not over just yet. Head to the far end of the room to find a console with several screens - one of them blinking red.

Once B-12 interacts with the terminal, he’ll ask you to power up the other computers listed on the map that are in three rows behind you. Luckily, this is as simple as being a cat, so all you need to do is jump up onto each row and walk all over the keyboards to light up each set of monitors. You need only walk on the keyboards with unlit monitors, as walking over them again will turn them off.

Once all three rows display all blue lit monitors, return to B-12, and you’ll find out that the system is locked. In order to bypass this lock, you’ll need to get creative… and destructive.

There are three computer panels in the area that will now light up with orange lock symbols, and you’ll need to find a way to destroy each of them:

•One is located to the right of the console that B-12 was working on. Look for a cable at the bottom that runs into a nearby console, and jump on top of it to find some panels you can open up by pressing Triangle to reveal wiring, and mess it up with your claws.

•Another lock is located on the opposite wall, left of the console B-12 was working on. The cabling below the console goes right into a nearby table, and you can push out the extended panel by jumping up and getting behind it. This will reveal more wiring to tamper with.

•Finally, look for the last console to the right of the main window in the Control Room. Follow the cables at the bottom to scratch at a panel to the left, and scratch again at the wiring to unlock the final system.

  5. Include cutscenes, make timestamps on screen for the end (and also the sections they let you do in YT) so both are satisfied. Depends on what content you’re making. If you’re making let’s plays, keep them in for the full experience.

  6. Jul 27, 2022 · This will trigger a long cutscene, after which, players should leave the control room the same way they came in and then take a right toward the big red door at the bottom of the stairs.

  7. May 14, 2017 · How do you know when to begin a scene (and therefore when to end the previous one)? The answer is that you let your scene dictate that. Here’s how: When you start writing a proactive scene, do it at the point in your story when it’s natural to establish the focal character’s goal for that scene. Quickly establish that goal, and then spend ...
