Senator Morrissey was elected the City of Richmond’s Commonwealth’s Attorney in 1989 and served in that role until 1993. Upon leaving his role as Commonwealth’s Attorney in Richmond, Senator Morrissey practiced law as a criminal defense attorney until 2018.
