   As with many follow-the-leader American TV shows, there seems to be a disconnect between the woke Hollywood writers and the people who actually watch the show. Not a big deal though.    • Season 1 and 2 were the peak of this show imo I watch in hopes the storylines and writing will get back to that level. Still enjoy it, amazed it has lasted this long. Sunday night is a good spot for it. Don't order ziti in Ohio and expect Italy quality. That is what the Rookie is, manwich with noodles.

   • Rookie really stood out, which is a challenge in that primetime environment. Following an older rookie was a smart idea. The patrol aspect is the best. It's chaotic, hectic, feels far less contrived. We get to see what feels like a more real portrayal of the lives of men and women in law enforcement. It's funny, it's poignant.
