I've watched Humsafar in 2021 and it is was a good show but not something that one would refer as a masterpiece. I mean the story wasn't something unique and was REGRESSIVE. The way Khirad was pushed out of the house of Ashar and his mum, and then still the two had a happy ending?!
Humsafar (Urdu: ہم سفر, lit. 'Companion or Life Partner') is a 2011 Pakistani drama telenovel based on the novel of the same name by Farhat Ishtiaq (who also wrote the screenplay) and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat.
Humsafar: With Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Atiqa Odho, Navin Waqar. Khirad and Ashar are a couple who are pressured into marriage due to the untimely death of Khirad's mother. However, Sara, Ashar's best friend, is heartbroken because she is in love with him.

It's on Netflix here in the U.K. Quite a nice show - perfect for practicing Urdu and actually watchable despite being a sass bahu serial. Always nice when they have scenes set in the Karachi city too. It was quite a shock finding out that everyone in the love triangle are first cousins though!
Humsafar is an amazing, spellbinding family drama. I cannot say enough about it. You will smile, cry and your heart will ache for them as they go through the various tests set before them.
