  1. I haven’t seen Ken Park, but I’ve seen Marfa Girl, Kids, and Bully - and although I love his early photography, I also have to wonder about his own pigeonholing in telling young adult and teen stories. I don’t want to analyze him as a person, but I think his movies are self-indulgent and inauthentic.

  2. I can't stand anything Larry Clark has done, but in particular Kids and Ken Park. His films are inherently hypocritical, in that they linger and languish in the self-destructive, explicit behaviour they claim to demonise.

  3. Aug 31, 2002 · Various California teenagers (James Ransone, Tiffany Limos, Stephen Jasso) display disturbing behavior, including casual sex and violence.

  4. For a film, titled 'Ken Park', the film has little to do about teenager Ken Park (Adam Chubbuck) life, and the reasons that lead him to commit suicide. It more revolves around the teenagers friends of the demise, and how abusive or dysfunctional their lives are.

  5. Jan 26, 2020 · Ken Park is the most controversial film by this director and probably destroyed any art house cred he had for what most would consider exploitative. Take note that I am a fan of the director and was familiar with this and his other works before writing this review.
