With its alien versus human conflict, Resiklo emerges as a compendium of science-futuristic fiction, from Soylent Green where humans are recycled for food, through the apocalyptic anarchy of Mad Max, the Cold War heroics of Star Wars, to our present day Transformers, all inflected with the bravado of Japanese mecha anime.

All in all a very enjoyable movie about some Mecha, inapt storytelling, lousy characters, lousy actors, totally lousy aliens and so on. It might have worked as a low-grade "be sure to switch brain off" anime. So it is just painful to watch. Oh, and they have an open ending ... part two?
