Sep 28, 2012 · There's no competition. But if you take Elementary for what it is, a typical American police procedural, it's actually a very enjoyable - and above average - show.
If you’re gonna watch them both then watch Elementary first. It started before Sherlock (as far as I know, don’t quote me) and it’s overall a better show. The characters are better written. The villains are more menacing. And Elementary has a better Holmes and Watson dynamic.
