I can see this actually being a good film if someone with more than a quarter-of-a-brain was in charge. This film could’ve explored a good lot of themes about being poor, being desperate, having your life turned over, etc. and set up a good long character arc for Cindy.

Mar 9, 2015 · Playing with Dolls is a bit of a let down in slasher horror genre. Overall: 6 out of 10 (very little character interaction, lots of eye candy and some nudity, the climax is over too quickly, the ending is slightly flat too).
Jul 25, 2020 · Playing With Dolls doesn’t blow the viewer away with its effects work, but a slasher rarely needs to. The kills all look realistic, and the blood spatters and flows like it should. The coloring of wounds is realistic, and there is steady continuity with things like stab and scratch marks.
