Masami Ōbari (Japanese: 大張 正己, Hepburn: Ōbari Masami, born January 24, 1966) is a Japanese anime director, animation director and mecha and character designer.
After debuting as key animator on Transformers and Tokusou Kihei Dorvack at the age of 18, he refined his drawing style and consequently debuted as character and mecha designer on Dancougar at the age of 19.
Masami Ôbari was born on 24 January 1966 in Hiroshima, Japan. He is a director and writer, known for Platinumhugen Ordian (2000). He has been married to Ritsu Togasaki since 14 November 2016. He was previously married to Atsuko Ishida.
