[ 2] The community was settled as early as 1831. Milan incorporated as a village in 1885 and much later as a city in 1967. [ 7]

Things To Do. For many, the first thing that comes to mind upon hearing the word “Milan” is “Dragway,” since the town’s quarter mile asphalt strip – sanctioned by the International Hot Rod Association – has played host to races for years.
