Oct 8, 2012 · A very early version of this story was part of Gene Roddenberry's first draft proposal for Star Trek: The Original Series in the early 1960s. (Star Trek Encyclopedia (2nd ed., p. 115)) The story was later developed into a script for the unproduced series Star Trek: Phase II.
Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship Enterprise-D. In "Devil's Due", the crew of the Enterprise confront an individual claiming to be Ardra ( Marta DuBois ), a mythological entity from the planet Ventax II.
Devil's Due: Directed by Tom Benko. With Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn. While answering a distress call, Picard finds himself not sure of exactly who he is dealing with, but he's sure he's not dealing with the planet's version of the Devil, as she claims to be.

In case you didn’t know, Devil’s Due and season 2’s The Child were two story ideals proposed for the Star Trek 1970s TV series (commonly referred to as Phase II). Phase II was eventually scrapped in favor of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. So, you can imagine Kirk vs the Devil with Xon as the judge.
