May 18, 2020 · The tourist destination flourished for several decades, but over the years interest in the Wild West waned, the main business — The General Store — burned down, taking with it the popular Wild Bill’s Hangout — a carnival-like funhouse, crowds dwindled and the complex fell into disrepair.
