: Flight 462 is a sixteen part mini series featuring a group of survivors on a plane in the earliest moments of the outbreak. This release was done to help promote the second season of Fear the Walking Dead and Season 6 of The Walking Dead.
The web series was first to officially crossover to the show, serving as a tie in to Fear the Walking Dead. It premiered on October 4, 2015, on AMC.com before being featured on television as promos during Season 6 of The Walking Dead.
Each episode was released on Sunday, both online and during commercial breaks and is directed by Michael McDonough.
The storyline takes place during the events of Season 1, with the aftermath being showcased during Season 2 after Alex was confirmed to have joined the main cast.
tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. Over the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler.

Original Air Date: October 4, 2015 A commercial jetliner, TruWest Airlines Flight 462, prepares for takeoff. On board, a young man named Jake Powell gets a call from his mother, who was unable to board the plane. She reassures Jake that everything will be alright, and that his father will pick him up in the morning. Another passenger confronts a flight attendant, saying that he received a message that flights are being grounded. As Jake attempts to get more information from his mother, he hears screaming in the background. Before he can say anything else, the woman in front of him abruptly shuts his side window closed.
Part 2
Original Air Date: October 11, 2015 As the plane takes off, Jake tries desperately to text his mother and find out what happened to her, but the text message fails to send. Marcus vomits into a bag as his wife tries to comfort him. Alex looks back at Jake, who looks out the window as the plane flies over an unidentified city.
Part 3
Original Air Date: October 18, 2015 The flight attendants begin to serve drinks throughout the cabin, and Jake has a short discussion with Connie about how he ended up on the plane without his mother.

Mar 28, 2016 · Flight 462 opens with a teenaged boy, Jake on a plane as it’s boarding. He’s worriedly texting his mom, who didn’t make her flight but insists his father will still pick him up when he lands. A woman behind him is praying out loud as his mom gives him a ring.
Jake, boards a flight to Phoenix without his mom, who hasn't made the flight and has a worrying phone call from her as the plane begins to move.
After staring at a young Asian-American woman seated a row ahead of him, Jake gets a call from his mother, who informs him that she won't be able to make the flight and will have his father meet him at an airport in Phoenix, Arizona. As Jake talks to her, he begins to hear loud noises and screaming in the background.
