Jun 2, 2020 · Empowered is the best superhero deconstruction comic of this century. By turns, it's funny, romantic, exciting, brutal, and even heartbreaking if you read deep enough. Unlike a lot of other deconstruction comics, it's full of heart and warmth, with likeable characters.
