- A-segment (Mini hatchbacks) Cars like the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Renault Kwid, Datsun Go etc fall under the A-segment. It refers to entry-level cars that are budget-friendly, and small in size.
- B-segment (Hatchbacks) This segment includes hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 or the Honda Jazz . The engine is slightly bigger than the A-segment mini-hatchbacks thereby more powerful too, which in turn makes them suitable for highway travelling.
