In Terraria, boss progression typically starts with the Eye of Cthulhu, followed by either the Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu based on world the Corruption/Crimson. Skeletron must be defeated to enter the Dungeon, and the Queen Bee is found in the Jungle.

- King Slime. This bouncy blob of blue can be summoned using a Slime Crown or once you’ve killed 150 slimes during a slime rain (a random event where slimes fall from the sky).
- Eye of Cthulhu. If you have over 200 HP and at least 10 defense, and you’ve got three NPCs all living in Terraria housing, then there’s a one-in-three chance of this boss spawning at the beginning of each night cycle.
- Eater of Worlds. The Eater of Worlds is only found in worlds with corruption chasms (an evil biome). It will naturally appear after every third Shadow Orb is broken or when Worm Food is used.
- Brain of Cthulhu. If the eye wasn’t enough, then this floating monstrosity will appear after every third Crimson Heart is broken or after using a Bloody Spine – very apt.

- Skeletron Prime. Summoning Item: Mechanical Skull. Life (HP): 28,000 plus 31,000 in life with all four arms combined. Boss Info: One of three mechanical bosses which must all be defeated in order to unlock Plantera and advance in Terraria's Hard Mode.
- Plantera. Summoning Item: Break Plantera's Bulb with Pickaxe (These respawn all over the Underground Jungle) Life (HP): 30,000. Boss Info: Once the three mechanical bosses are defeated, you can engage Plantera.
- Golem. Summoning Item: Lihzahrd Power Cell used at temple shrine. Life (HP): 80,000 (sum of all body parts) Boss Info: The Golem fight has two phases, only the second being particularly challenging.
