In The Desperados, Jack Palance plays Josiah Galt, a renegade Confederate who leads his battalion of banditti in the plundering and pillaging of towns all across Kansas. The lead role, however, goes to Vince Edwards as one of Josiah's sons who tries to leave the fold and lead a decent life.
In the closing days of the Civil War, fanatical Parson Josiah Galt and his three sons, Adam, Jacob, and David, are leaders of a gang of southern marauders. Josiah, driven by his lust for revenge for the death of his Indian wife, attacks the Kansas town of St. Thomas.
