Charmian London ( née Kittredge; November 27, 1871 – January 14, 1955 [1]) was an American writer and the second wife of Jack London . Early life. "Clara" Charmian Kittredge was born to poet and writer Dayelle "Daisy" Wiley and California hotelier Willard "Kitt" Kittredge at a railroad outpost south of Los Angeles.
