Jan 25, 2007 · This album was vital in my discovery of Richard Thompson. I'd already acquired some Fairport and Richard and Linda LPs, and this gave a nice overview of Richard's work at that point. It also included quite a few precious nuggets that were previously unreleased. It still holds up as a nice 70 some minute compendium of Richard's earlier work.

In 2006, the respected folk label Free Reed released RT: The Life and Music of Richard Thompson, a five-disc set of outtakes, live recordings, and album cuts, many of which were pulled from Thompson's personal collection. (Yet another box set collecting highlights from his studio sessions, Walking on a Wire 1968-2009, came out in 2009.)
