Mar 15, 2014 · Difference: 4959 less bytes in US-version. Sure the US-version states that "Software built in the United States", but shouldnt the firmware files still be equal size and hash? Or is the difference only that US-version contains NSA backdoors and such (or are there other differences in the code aswell)?

Share. Xajel. • 5 yr. ago. The International version is exactly the same as the US version, the only different is that the US version won't allow you to use specific WiFi channels that are not legal to use in the US, even if you changed the country in the settings.

Oct 30, 2016 · No. Actually it adds more middle men because product have to be obtained in non-US markets from authorized dealers, then shipped to the US and possibly repackaged. It’s cheaper for two reasons. 1. There is no warranty. 2. The cameras are cheaper at the wholesale pricing level because of different pricing schemes in non-US countries.
Mar 15, 2014 · Looking at the firmware pages sometimes US-versions pops up, but not for every release. Last week these two versions showed up which made me question whats the purpose but also what the difference would be? Difference: 4959 less bytes in US-version.

A couple of years back I asked a Callaway Japan rep about the differences between JDM vs US version if the same club and he said the biggest differences was that the tolerances are tighter in Japan (stated vs actual loft, weight, etc) based on the expectations from the market as a whole.
