That alt legacy if Joker died after his canonical first appearance would wildly change the villain trajectory of this version of Gotham while still letting Batman deal with the PTSD/fallout of this particular Joker (which I’d love if they explored more with dead Jack Napier/Joker in the 89 canon books.)
