"Reba" was released in 1988 and Country purists considered this album as "sell out" because McEntire left all those fiddles and steel guitars behind and went for more commerical, poppy approach. That move meant that synthesizers and other late 80's production licks were introduced to Reba's music, making it more enjoyable for non-Country fans.
