Encyclopedia of Philosophy, second edition. The Encyclopedia of Philosophy is one of the major English encyclopedias of philosophy. The first edition of the encyclopedia was edited by philosopher Paul Edwards (1923–2004), and it was published in two separate printings by Macmillan.
