May 16, 2023 · The 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division held a change of command ceremony at Robertson Parade Field on Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea, May 16. The ceremony was held to bid farewell to Maj. Gen. David A. Lesperance, the outgoing commanding general, and to welcome Maj. Gen. William “Hank” D. Taylor as the division’s new commanding general.

The 2nd Infantry Division was formed in 1910 at the command of King Chulalongkorn, as a part of the newly reorganised Siamese army. After the Siamese revolution of 1932 the new administration temporarily dissolved all formations above battalion level, including the 2nd Infantry Division.
